The municipality of Steinfort currently has about 6,000 inhabitants of more than 90 nationalities spread over the villages of Steinfort, Grass, Hagen and Kleinbettingen.
Surrounded by the municipalities of Koerich, Garnich and Hobscheid, Steinfort is located 19 km from the capital.
Steinfort is experiencing an impressive development. It is a dynamic and growing municipality, in which it is good to live. Steinfort is neither urban nor rural. One could call it a 'rurban' village. Many shops are located in the heart of the municipality. Everything is within walking distance. Thus, you can easily do your shopping on foot. However, we are also in the middle of a green countryside, accessible to all and which we want to preserve.
Steinfort is an attractive municipality because of the many facilities it offers, especially in terms of access to public transport (bus lines 741, 750, 802, 811, 812, 831, 832, 833). In addition, Kleinbettingen train station provides quick access to Luxembourg City. With all these facilities, Steinfort has established itself as a regional development centre and is implementing numerous infrastructures that should benefit both its inhabitants and those of its neighbouring municipalities.
