The "architecture & urbanisme 21 yvore schiltz et associés" studio, founded in 1970 by Théo Worré at 21, avenue Monterey in Luxembourg, embraced avant-garde design from the outset, producing projects that celebrated modern technologies and a great freedom of form and materials.
Over the years, Théo Worré and Jo Schiltz have welcomed many young architects who are now making their mark on the Luxembourg architectural landscape. With Jo's son Yvore taking over in 2006, Théo decided to retire from the company in 2011. Hocine Bouchentouf, a long-standing associate, joined Jo and Yvore Schiltz as a partner in 2013. On 22 July 2013, the studio moved to 42 A, Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg City.
The AU21 team is made up of experienced architects, draughtsmen and administrative staff from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, all of which contribute to the strength and richness of the made-to-measure solutions we develop. Simple and fair, they guarantee high performance, recognisable function and durability. We're proud of the close, trusting relationships we've built up with our customers over the years.
As ongoing training for our staff is a priority, the studio has been a certified PH "Passivhaus Planer" and passive house designer since 2013, and has developed its skills as a BIM coordinator.
"Architecture is first and foremost a social and ethical activity. Buildings are designed on a human scale, rationally, functionally, aesthetically and ... when all the work is done, it's time for us architects to retire" _Yvore Schiltz
