          Dry ice:

          high quality

In addition to dry ice blasting, we also offer dry ice. Dry ice, carbon dioxide in solid form, comes from the reprocessing of CO2 generated by industry (mainly fertiliser factories). In this way, we are not contributing to the increase in greenhouse gases, since this CO2 is not created, but recycled. Under normal conditions of temperature and pressure, CO2 is present in the atmosphere in a gaseous state. The process of obtaining dry ice is based on the expansion of CO2. The liquid CO2 is forced under a pressure of 20 bars at -20°C into a chamber at atmospheric pressure. The drop in pressure causes the temperature of the CO2 to fall to -78.5°C: the liquid CO2 is then transformed into dry ice. Compressing it using a hydraulic press enables us to manufacture :

          • Pellets (3 mm in diameter): mainly for cleaning and cryogenic stripping.
          • Sticks (16 mm sticks): for conservation, temperature-controlled transport, winemaking, air refuelling (catering), caterers, events (cocktails, heavy smoke).

Dry ice sublimates without leaving any residue, making it useful for a wide range of applications.
