Welcome!
"I wish for everyone to have a healthy, enjoyable, and natural relationship with food, free from restrictions or frustration."
My name is Céline Genson, I am Luxembourgish and a graduated dietitian, recognized by the Ministry of Health of Luxembourg and accredited by the CNS. Dietetic consultations are by appointment in my dietetics office "Mindful Eating," located in the heart of the City of Luxembourg, at 2, rue de l'Eau, on the 2nd floor, L-1449 Luxembourg.
Please feel free to contact me if you need dietary advice for any of the following reasons:
- Hypertension
- Fatty liver disease (metabolic hepatosteatosis)
- Gastritis
- Hyperglycemia, prediabetes, type II diabetes, or gestational diabetes
- Metabolic syndrome
- High cholesterol and/or triglycerides
- Overweight or obesity
- Malnutrition
- Eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder).
A body composition analysis (muscle mass, fat mass, etc.) using bioelectrical impedance (Inbody) is done to assess the nutritional status of the patient.
I accept patients starting from the age of 16.
The dietary therapy I offer focuses on improving the patient’s relationship with food. My work mainly addresses eating disorders, managing unhealthy eating habits (emotions, stress), and supporting patients towards sustainable changes in eating habits tailored to their health status.
I rely on the principles of mindful eating in my work with patients, which particularly emphasizes self-compassion, developing awareness of one's real needs, and respecting the body.
Do these statements sound familiar to you?
We live in an abundance of food, yet the simple act of eating often causes anxiety and emotional distress.
"I love eating, but I am often followed by guilt."
"I feel that my eating habits are unbalanced."
"When I see a food I like, I have trouble resisting."
"Once I open a bag of chips or cookies, I often end up finishing it entirely."
"I often struggle with myself about what to eat."
"At the end of the day, I feel hungry and can only think about opening the fridge."
"Sometimes, I skip a meal to consume fewer calories."
"I often feel a sense of discomfort after eating."
Through mindful eating, you will learn to take better care of yourself and reconnect with the wisdom of your body to decide what, when, and how much to eat. The practical advice and exercises will help you change the eating habits that cause you suffering and develop a more compassionate mindset towards yourself.
You are your own expert because no one else can observe and perceive what you experience in your body, mind, and heart. It is therefore important to be aware of these perceptions to analyze what makes changing your eating habits so difficult. The tools of mindful eating are easy to integrate into your daily life.
Please note that some consultations are reimbursed by the CNS with a medical prescription only and under certain conditions. For more information, please visit the CNS website.
