Haus Omega is a palliative care centre with 15 spacious single rooms located in the Hamm district of Luxembourg. It offers care and support to people with life-limiting illness and their relatives. It provides a home for patients for whom acute hospital treatment is no longer necessary, given the progression of their serious and incurable conditions, and who can no longer be cared for in their own home..
As a palliative care facility, Haus Omega offers its patients and their relatives a competent and family-friendly environment with the aim of maintaining or improving their quality of life: pain and symptom control, holistic care, individual support with integration of the patient’s psychosocial and spiritual needs.
The staff consists of palliative trained professionals from various disciplines within the health sector and a team of doctors. In-house doctors may also prescribe the services of external specialists. Voluntary caregivers, who have been specially trained in palliative care, provide end of life support depending on the needs of the patients and their relatives.
