KRIEGER Associates is the only law firm in Luxembourg which is entirely made up of experienced lawyers who specialise in property law and deal exclusively with property matters.
Our lawyers are well versed in complex property cases which require specialised expertise, entrusted to them by various Luxembourgish or international stakeholders in the property sector: developers, builders, architects, engineering consultants, urban planners, owners, buyers, investment funds, co-ownership syndicates, lessors, municipal administrations, public institutions, etc.
The ever-increasing complexity of the property business, its technical nature and its regulatory and standards-related constraints prompted our firm to specialise even further by dividing into four departments:
- Civil law (construction defects, neighbourhood disturbances, purchase agreements, notarial deeds, rights-of-way, joint ownership, undivided possession, inheritances, pre-emption, etc.),
- Rentals (rental, commercial and emphyteutic leases, surface rights),
- Co-ownerships (help with AGMs, support for co-ownership syndicates, disputes within residences, co-ownership proceedings against third parties, drawing up co-ownership regulations, reviewing basic acts, drawing up commonhold division tables of multi-unit buildings [the 'vertical cadastre'], etc.),
- Administrative law (municipal planning and urban development, land management, sectoral master plans, partial development plans (PAP), general development plans (PAG), building permits, commodo-incommodo, public utilities, water management, environmental law, public procurement, state property concessions, etc.).
The four departments work together on many cases, bringing together cross-cutting issues.
