          Fruits and vegetables to consume in winter

          The date of December 21st launches the beginning of the winter season. On the food side, on which fruits and vegetables do you want to go ? Here you can find a summary of what to consume this winter ... as well as some ideas for preparing delicious juices filled with vitamins!

          The fruits

          In order to protect yourself from colds and fatigue, fruits are to be consumed throughout the winter. 

          If you are a lover of strawberries, raspberries and melons, it will take longer months. But rest assured: there are, in winter, equally delicious alternatives!

          - Pineapple : low in calories, but tasty, pineapple is also an excellent moisturizer thanks to its high water content. It is consumed in nature, but also in sweet and savory dishes.

          - Citrus fruits : orange, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin, clementine and pomelo are in the spotlight this winter. What to prepare juices filled with vitamins! Citrus fruits are also very rich in fiber and low in calories.

          - Avocado : Considered as a fruit, the avocado is nevertheless consumed in salty preparations, exclusively raw or lightly grilled. Rich in vitamins and monounsaturated fatty acids, it promotes well-being and is also suitable for people who monitor their weight.

          - The kiwi : rich in vitamins C and E, but also in fiber, it is during the winter that the kiwis are the most tasty. If this fruit is also excellent for optimizing intestinal transit and digestion, it would also, according to studies, prevent the risk of possible heart attacks.

          - Lychee : exotic fruit, litchi helps fight against the germs of winter . It is also an excellent source of potassium, which helps to protect against possible heart disease, as well as rich in B vitamins: it is good to eat if your cholesterol is high.

          - Apples and pears : two great classics, to consume in many forms: compotes, pies, crumbles, or as is!
           

          The vegetables

          In soup, crudité, gratin, mashed potatoes or incorporated in hotpot, here are the star vegetables of the winter! 

          - Carrots : Rich in vitamin A, the carrot is also an excellent antioxidant. The vegetable would also be very good for protecting against lung cancer and cardiovascular disease.

          - Cabbages : kale, green cabbage, kale, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, ... The possibilities are many. Generally not appreciated, by their taste, cabbages are rich in vitamins, folic acids and minerals.

          - Squash : pumpkin, butternut and pumpkin, these vegetables are usually eaten in soup and gratin. Fiber sources, squash are also rich in potassium, which helps regulate blood pressure. 

          - Endive : prepared raw or cooked, endive is rich in water, but also in vitamin B9: the latter is useful for the formation of red blood cells and potassium. 

          - Leeks : typically eaten in winter, leeks are low in calories and contain many minerals and vitamins. Also rich in fiber, they promote intestinal transit.
           

          Juices to give yourself some pep

          In order to fill up with nutrients in no time, consume ultra-vitaminized juices. To prepare them, nothing is easier: have a juice extractor or blender , and fresh fruits and vegetables.

          - Spinach, carrot and celery

          - Apple, kiwi and broccoli

          - Apple, carrot and a pinch of cinnamon

          - Apple, beetroot and fennel
