          Getting around Luxembourg by bus

Driving in Luxembourg can sometimes be complicated, as there are so many traffic jams! As an alternative, especially to circulate in the capital, there is the bus. You do not know much about this means of transport? We make the point for you!

The lines of the RGTR bus network (General Regime of road transport) will allow you to move throughout the Grand Duchy. These intercommunal links make it possible to make intra-city trips throughout the country.

Some Citybus also have the vocation of making trips between the various municipalities.

There is also another inter-municipal network, the TICE (Syndicats des Tramways Intercommunaux) in the Canton of Esch-sur-Alzette, which makes it possible to move between 9 communes of the south of Luxembourg , in the area of the Terres Rouges.

Finally, there is the network to move in Luxembourg City: the AVL (Bus of the City of Luxembourg).

          To move in the capital

30 lines are available to drive in Luxembourg City. All of these are available here . At a fixed time, citizens can move throughout the capital and its surroundings.

On weekends, it is also easy to get around after dark, thanks to a night bus service called " Late Night Bus ". On Fridays and Saturdays, these shuttles carry the most partygoers for free until 3:30 am. The different routes offered are available here .

There is also another service of the same type, the " Night Rider ", to which many municipalities adhere, but which only works by reservation: at a more than advantageous rate, night owls can return home safely.

          Shopping with peace of mind

To allow you to shop easily, without having to drive in the center for long minutes to find a place, the best is to park at the parking Glacis (0.80 € / hour, free on weekends) and go up to on the edge of the City Shopping Bus , which takes you to the heart of Luxembourg-City (the stop is on Rue Beaumont) and its shops.

On Saturdays (and Sunday when the stores are exceptionally open), additional stops are served: Royal Forum, Hällepull, Cathedral and Kasinosgaass.

This service is available, one bus every 10 minutes :
