          5 tips before getting tattooed

Now considered a real fashion accessory, the tattoo is reaching a target more and more broadly.  In Luxembourg, 48% of 16-25 year olds are tattooed. However, out of fear, some do not dare to take the plunge. Motif, tattoo artist's choice , location, pain, Editus.lu gives you some tips.

          Determine the desired pattern

To be fully satisfied with your tattoo, go to the tattooist with a precise idea of what you want . Your tattoo, you will normally keep it all your life, so it must symbolize who you really are. Do not hesitate to bring with you a sketch, a photo, or the type of writing you like.

On the contrary, avoid choosing a drawing in a catalog , a rather impersonal step ... You may cross several people with the same!

A tattoo on which part of the body?

Opt for a place where the skin is taut , like the shoulders, back , ankles or calves . Conversely, avoid the hands and the neck, the tattoo will have good luck to deform more quickly. Also, avoid tattooing parts of your body that may be subject to weight changes, such as the belly.

Even though tattoos are better and better considered in society, you still say that atattoo can become a handicap if it is too visible. So be careful, it would be a shame to close doors, especially for a future job. Also keep in mind that this tattoo will age you with!

          The tattoo artist's choice

When considering getting a tattoo, do not stop at the first comer. At first, you can inquire of those around you, word of mouth is often a good method to find the rare pearl.

To avoid any nasty surprises, ask the tattoo artist that you have chosen to show you pictures of his previous achievements , to make sure that you can get started without a bad surprise.

Also be sure to go to a tattoo artist where hygiene is irreproachable : the tattoo room should be separated from the rest of the facility, the environment should be aseptic, and sterile disposable equipment.

          Prepare for pain

Inking the skin with a series of subcutaneous perforations is, let's be honest, anything but a piece of fun. However, we are not all equal in the face of pain.

Some types of tattoos are more painful than others , like tribal ones, which require large areas of color without shades. If you opt for letters, their tracing is less painful, but can give the impression of a cut of skin.

The parts of the body where the skin is the finest are obviously more painful . If you are comfortable, do not get tattooed on the ribs, spine, torso or feet.

          Take a reflection period

Even if you are impatient, take your trouble because a tattoo is not ephemeral. Before you finally give in to temptation, be certain that your tattoo fits you, and that you will not regret it over time.
