There are so many models of tv that today, it is complicated to navigate to make a choice at the time of purchase. To arrive in the store with a definite opinion on what you want, Editus.lu gives you some tips.
A screen of what size?
The size of the room in which you will place the TV will influence the size of the screen. If your living room is tiny, avoid taking a post with a screen of 100 centimeters.
Also think of the distance of recoil , which must be sufficient so that your eyes are not too close to the screen. For a screen of 81 centimeters, a distance of 2.5 meters is recommended; and a distance of 3 meters for a screen of 102 centimeters.
What type of screen?
Here, four technologies are available to you:
The LED screen : this is the most common technology, the screen is designed from a backlight LEDs.
The Full HD screen : it is an improved LED screen since its resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels, or two million pixels per image.
The UHD screen : it has a resolution four times higher than the full HD screen, which represents eight million pixels per image (3840 x 2160 pixels).
OLED screen : this technology is only available on high-end screens. Here, each pixel produces its own light, which means that the image is very close to that of the cinema screens.
What budget?
The size, but also the technologies (curved screen, Smart TV, etc.), vary the prices of televisions. Now, for a hundred euros, you can get a TV of excellent quality . On the other hand, avoid driving at all costs towards a low-cost model: if you find a screen of 117 centimeters for 150 euros, go your way, you can be sure that the quality of the image will be execrable.
In general, it is possible to find LED screens from 150 euros. Their price can go up to 500 euros. For a Full HD TV, count between 250 and 500 euros. UHD TVs are available from 650 euros, but their price can go up to 2000 euros. Finally, OLED screens are the least accessible since they cost between 1800 and 8000 euros.
