WELTER ROMAIN ET FILS was founded in 1974 by Mr Romain Welter. In the early years, we manufactured transformers and had a specific workshop for manufacturing electric motor housings and repairing these motors. In order to position itself more effectively in the market, we expanded our areas of expertise. The areas of home technology, generator construction and control modules (in various sizes) were added.
When his two sons, Yves and Frank Welter, joined their father in the company in the mid-1980s, the areas of activity were further expanded. Over the next few years, the company focused on bell technology, automotive technology and agricultural slurry technology. Later, in the early 90s, increasing emphasis was placed on environmental technology, i.e. the company's own planning and construction of combined heat and power plants and biogas plants of all sizes. Membrane and filter plants were also developed for the environmentally-friendly treatment of pig and cattle slurry, organic liquids and municipal waste water.
Today, the company comprises a number of different areas of activity: housing manufacture, locksmithing, a lathe workshop, a repair workshop, planning and design offices, and a programming service (SPS conduits).
